This full-day tour includes your transportation to and from the park, all entrance fees, and a knowledgeable, bilingual tour guide.

The tour begins with a visit to the K’anba Caves. This area is primarily limestone and is a cavers paradise with thousands of unmapped miles of cave to explore.  The cave you will explore on the tour is open to the public and is known as the “wet” cave, aptly named because you will crawl, climb, and even swim your way through, all while holding a lit candle. Swimming through this cave will make you feel like a first-time explorer and the candles create a lovely ambiance. Inside the cave, you will be able to climb rope ladders, jump into pools, and slide down a small waterfall through a tunnel. After the cave tour, we will walk down along the river to the extension bridge where we will take a short break and allow those that are adventurous enough to jump the 15 meters off the bridge into the Cahabon River.  From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the National Park of Semuc Champey, which is an area of pristine mountainous forest where the river cascades through a series of crystal clear and surprisingly warm emerald green pools.

Once in the park, a steep uphill 1.5 km climb takes you to the Viewing Platform where you can take some breathtaking aerial shots of the pools and the surrounding mountain range. The color of the water changes during the year, depending on the season, sun and other natural factors, making for unique photo-taking opportunities. If you are not up for the strenuous hike, you can take the lower route (a flat 7-minute walk) directly to the pools where you can relax and wait for the rest of group to catch up with you.  Once you have arrived at the pools, you will have time to relax and enjoy your packed lunches.
